2012 marks 100 years of the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington D.C.! In 1912 a gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC. was presented to honor the friendship between the United States and Japan. The trees are so light and airy you just want to get lost in them. The festival is from March 20 – April 27. Visit the Official Site Here. Happy Spring!
